‘As They Made Us’ Trailer: First Look At Mayim Bialik’s Quiver Family Drama Starring Diana Agron, Simon Helberg, Candice Bergen & Dustin Hoffman
Quiver has unveiled the first trailer for Mayim Bialik’s feature directorial debut, As They Made Us, starring Diana Agron (Shiva Baby), Simon Helberg (Annette), Oscar nominee Candice Bergen (Let Them All Talk) and two-time Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman (The Meyerowitz Stories), which is slated for release in theaters and on VOD on April 8.
The drama written and directed by the Big Bang Theory alum follows Abigail (Agron), a divorced mother of two, who is struggling to balance the unstable forces within her dysfunctional family. Her father Eugene (Hoffman) has a degenerative condition that he and his wife Barbara (Bergen) refuse to accept, and her brother Nathan (Helberg) has been estranged from the family for years. At this juncture, self-appointed fixer Abigail attempts to mend her complicated family’s dynamic before it’s too late.
As They Made Us also stars Justin Chu Cary (Blindspotting), Charlie Weber (After We Collided) and Bialik’s Call Me Kat co-star Julian Gant. Yale Productions’ Jordan Beckerman and Jordan Yale Levine produced alongside Anne Clements, Michael Day, Mark Maxey and the late Ash Christian, with Quiver Distribution Co-Presidents Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman executive producing. BondIt Media Capital financed the film, with Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor exec producing for the company. Quiver Distribution acquired the pic in February.
